London conference 'important for European energy future'

Financial matters at the heart of European energy developments for the next few years are to be discussed at a major London event next month.

Environment ministers from all over the continent will be heading to the European Future Energy Forum at the ExCel Centre in London from October 19th to 21st 2010.

Jo Tyler, event director for the European Future Energy Forum, explained that the exhibition is set to look at where the money will come from to fund new developments and technological advancements in the sector.

Director of the Masdar Clean Tech Fund Alexander O'Cinneide added that London is important for the future of European energy.

"We want to help environmental companies. We want to be a provider of capital to the most interesting clean tech companies in the UK and in general in Europe," he said.

More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the European Future Energy Forum next month, with energy companies, environmental organisations, entrepreneurs and financial institutions all set to be in attendance.
