Ed Miliband: Renewable energy is at heart of my plans

Renewable energy is likely to become a major topic for debate if Ed Miliband wins the ongoing Labour Party leadership contest.

According to the former UK energy and climate minister, renewable energy and creating green jobs is at the heart of his plans should he beat his brother David, Adny Burnham, Diane Abbott and Ed Balls in the contest.

Writing for the Guardian, he stated that it is necessary to seize the moment to instil a positive vision of renewable energy in the minds of British people.

"There are immediate challenges our country faces but the climate crisis is fundamental to the choices we have to make as a country in the years ahead," he said.

Mr Miliband added that if he wins the leadership contest Britain can lead the world in renewable energy production.

Labour MEP Linda McAvan recently said Ed Miliband is the best leadership candidate to push forward green issues such as renewable energy usage.
