Comment:Visions launches online community

Comment:Visions recently revealed a new and improved ‘Contributor Community’, allowing policy-makers, industry-leaders and experts in energy and environment to interact and network with each other online.

Comment:Visions (www.commentvisions.com) is a unique partnership between the global TV channel, euronews, and the Brussels-based newspaper, European Voice, and in association with Shell. Since early 2008, the project has reached out to thousands of informed thought-leaders via online discussion, live debates, and a monthly programme on euronews.

‘We’re delighted to give our contributors the opportunity to connect with each other in an easy-to-use niche community,’ said Will Nicholson, Project Director of Comment:Visions. ‘Our biggest priority is to open the debate to influencers in politics, industry and research.’

Each month on euronews, Comment:Visions interviews visionaries on the energy challenges facing us and each interview topic is then debated online. Footage from the Comment:Visions debates at the European Parliament, Brussels, are also published on the website.

Much like the live debates, where political figures and leading representatives from business and research meet to debate the energy challenges of the future, the recently re-launched website offers a secure online forum for continued exchange of ideas. Registered users can also upload and search each others’ profiles, collaborate in workgroups and post statuses of their recent accomplishments and projects – all in a Professional Social Networking-style setting.

‘This is a very interesting initiative,’ said Marco Sorgetti, director general of Clecat, the European Freight Forwarders and Customs Agents international association. ‘I am honoured by your choice to include me in your community.’
