Business for everyone at the European Future Energy Forum, 9-11 June, Bilbao, Spain

Over 3,500 international business leaders, investors, policy decision makers and entrepreneurs have already confirmed their attendance at the European Future Energy Forum in Bilbao next week. 

Bilbao, Spain, 5th June 2009: With specific themes covering all elements of renewable and alternative energy, European policies and strategies, investment and funding, green buildings and clean transport, over 3,500 people from 40 different countries have already registered to attend.

The event promises to follow in the footsteps of its parent World Future Energy Summit in bringing together experts and business leaders to join the debate and find solutions in an industry where investment is still vast despite the current economic climate.

There are dedicated keynote sessions looking at energy policy and strategy, clean transport, green buildings and renewable energy with specific focus on solar, wind, wave and geothermal solutions. In addition there are 14 expert workshops and 124 round table sessions where participants can join the debate and network in order to find business opportunities and solutions.

There are also over 100 exhibiting companies from around the world demonstrating innovative products, designs and services, looking to meet with people interested in investing and working within the renewable energy and sustainable solutions market.
 
Ente Vasco de la Energía (EVE) will host a spectacular welcome reception at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre on Tuesday 9 June to encourage attendees to the Forum to network on a social level and to give them a taste of the famous Basque culture and cuisine. EVE will also be taking parties of attendees to visit 4 nearby energy sites including energy recovery plants, hydro stations, wind farms and wave power facilities. 

Special features can also be found within the exhibition for those more interested in energy efficiency within the urban environments through sustainable architecture and innovative transport solutions.

ABOUT THE EUROPEAN FUTURE ENERGY FORUM
The European Future Energy Forum (EFEF) was born out of the success of the World Future Energy Summit which held its inaugural event on 21-23 January 2008 in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
