Restrictions and Special Requirements
As this is a trade event children under the age of sixteen will not be permitted to enter the exhibition, unless they have special written consent from the organisers in advance (even if you have registered online and received a badge). If you are eighteen years of age or under we advice that you bring proof of age in case you are asked.
There is disabled access throughout the event, however we would ask that if you have special needs and require some assistance that you let us know in advance so that we can ensure that your needs are cared for.
If you are a conference delegate and have special dietary needs then please mention this to the organisers in advance, however we will aim to cater for all diets including catering for different religious beliefs within our buffet selection.
Dress code
As this is a business conference, dress code is business attire throughout, which includes any official social functions and technical tours. If required special health and safety equipment will be provided for tours.
Other General Information
Currency – The unit of currency in the UK is pounds sterling.
Emergencies – Dial 999 to call the police, fire brigade or ambulance in an emergency. The single European emergency number 112 also works in the UK.
Electricity – The standard voltage throughout the UK is 230/240v AC, 50Hz, with plugs having three square pins.
Climate – London’s climate is known to be amongst the mildest in England. During October you can expect figures to be between 8-12 degrees. There may also be the chance of rain in October so remember to bear this in mind when packing for your trip.
Medical Services – EU nationals can obtain free emergency treatment on presentation of an EHIC card whilst residents of several other countries can receive free medical treatment through the NHS.
Passport & Visas – Visitors holding passports from outside the EU may require a visa. Check with your local British Embassy.
Tipping – Some restaurants add a discretionary service charge to your bill but in places that you don’t you are expected to leave a 10% tip unless the service was unsatisfactory. Elsewhere, tipping is not compulsory, although taxi drivers appreciate their fare to be rounded up.
